Maca & Cacao Martini

This is such an easy, dreamy functional mocktail to have to hand. Maca is a hormone-balancing adaptogen, whilst cacao gets to work with mellowing us out via magnesium. Coconut milk brings this together to create a sweet/nutty balance. A perfect after dinner drink.

Maca & cacao martini

Ingredients for 2 servings

  • Ice

  • 1 tsp maca powder

  • 1 tsp cacao powder

  • 200ml coconut milk

  • A dash of vanilla essence

  • 5g coconut flakes

Method

In a cocktail shaker or jar with seal-tight lid, add ice till the container is half/three quarters full.

Next add the maca, cacao, coconut mylk and a dash of vanilla essence to the container.

Put the lid on and shake for at least 30 seconds. Your hands should be cold by the time you’ve finished!

Taste the mix. If it needs more sweetness, add a little more vanilla. If you want to bring out more of the cacao flavour, add a tiny bit of salt (try it and see!)

Once you’re happy with the flavour pour into your fanciest glasses, and add a few coconut flakes to the top.
